Its done!!!!!!!

Oh wait I mean less than half way :/

The Irish Chain quilt "top" is finished!

The fabrics I used are Kona Ash and Berkely Square by Benartex

I use 1 jelly roll of Kona Ash and some yardage and 1 jelly roll of the Berkley.  I have to say I was wondering about this quilt.  I wasn't really feeling it until the whole top came together and now I am really liking it!  I also decided on the backing using the wrong side of some fabric thanks to my sew swap peeps lol.  I do have my eye out for the quilt police though :)

Well Hello Strangers

It seems like it has been a while since I got on here.  I have been busy busy.  Trying to get some gift quilts done.  The lovely Irish Chain top should be completed this evening!   Whoo Hoo I will post pictures.   Then I am starting a very modernish Razorback quilt (as in the Arkansas Razorbacks).  I am very excited to see how this one turns out.

I may have bit off more than I can chew as I was selected to participate in the Doll Quilt Swap 13, and wow that is one talented group.  I hope I can push through and come up with something spectacular.  As soon as all these Christmas projects are done I will be focusing on doing my very very best on this project (not that I don't always try to do my best but ya know).  I have been googling patters and looking through all the flicker pictures and scoping my books, but I think right now my brain is overwhelmed with these gift quilts.  I will be posting about the Swap and maybe you guys can help me.

Well off to actually work for real money and will post pictures of the Irish Chain.

Have a most wonderful day!!

Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to all...

Well I will be out of pocket for the weekend.  Going to do a little family eating and gathering then a little deer hunting!  I wish each of you a very safe and blessed Thanksgiving!

I am still trucking along on the Irish Chain.  Wow that is a ton of prep work!  I have about 35 more blocks to square up then I can start sewing the top together.

Again please have a very great Thanksgiving and take at least that day to rejoice in the things you have to be thankful for and let those troubles meet back up with you black friday!!!!!

Irish Chain Cont....

Well the massive Irish Chain is consuming all my quilting time.  I got 20 blocks pinned and sewed then 20 more pinned.

Its a little overwhelming!  I tried to break it up into groups to at least make my mind think it is do able :).  If you are also doing this remember you will probably have to tweek the number of strips and such.  Also I did pin the 1st two strips and then just matched up the last two without pinning.  Whoo I am beat been a long week!  Have a super great weekend!!!

Quilt Along

Well I was looking back through an old hand stitched quilt I have from my grand parents, and noticed the blocks were curved.  I thought this was so cool and I wanted to replicate!  So I stumbled onto a Curve it up quilt along.  How fun!  I have the button posted on my little button bar.  If anyone decides to play along let me know!  I am already 2 blocks behind and have no intention of "catching up,"  but I do plan to finish.  With the holidays upon us starting anything else would be crazy!  Come try it out though so we can work through it together!

Irish Chain

Well I have been working on that Irish Chain quilt that I posted about last time.  Let me just tell you it is a good amount of preparation getting all the strips sewed and trimmed.  I have all it cut out and can't wait to start sewing.  I did modify the amounts.  Jenny says 13 and 26 groups I think and that math didn't work right.  I will let you know if my math works out right for the twin size quilt or maybe queenish.  I am hoping I did enough to make it a little bigger.  Anyway pictures soon!  I think it will be a very nice quilt!

If we ever get to 20 still got a giveaway!

Well hello!

Ok I have been playing catch up!  Deer season and every weekend at deer camp has cut into my computer time.  I finally finished my project for my lovely Sew Swap group!  Pictures below.  I am have also been working on the flannel from hell quilt!  I mean really though it is bad, and I was not mentally prepared.  It has been the most long drawn out process, but now just some boarders!  No pictures yet!  I also made a list of things to get my butt in gear on!  Christmas is coming soooooon!!!!  I seem to have a pile of quilt tops building up that is making me a little nervous.  Just wanted to pop by.

Remember if we ever make it to 20 a giveaway!!

I included a few extra goodies but that is a surprise.  However, I did not include a note so who the heck it is from maybe a surprise, if they don't happen to see the return address.
